How I Can Help.

  • Preparing for a new baby and your new role as parents can be intimidating. Many hospitals offer a short, group baby care class to introduce you to the basics. I offer a more personalized option. Baby 101 is a private, in your home, baby care class tailored to meet your needs as expectant parents. My goal is to help expectant parents feel prepared, confident and ready to welcome and care for their new baby, which starts with setting realistic expectations. Learn what to expectant during the postpartum period, what a newborn’s needs are during this time and how to meet them. Baby 101 allows you to get all your questions answered and step into your new role with the knowledge you need to feel confident.

  • Those first few months of parenthood can be overwhelming and exhausting. Also known as the 4th trimester, your new little one is trying to adjust to their new world and still has an immature system that isn’t quite ready to be out in the world. Time can feel like it is standing still and is over in a blink of an eye, all at the same time. Whether you are looking for support and education on how to navigate those first 12 weeks or someone to give hands-on support, I am here to make getting settled with your new little one less daunting and help you gain the confidence you need to settle into your new role. As an Advanced Newborn Care Specialist, certified lactation counselor, and certified Postpartum Doula, I can help with nursing, bottle feeding, establishing healthy sleep habits, soothing a fussy baby, caring for the baby while you take time for you, or just providing answers to all your new parent questions. I offer both day and night support. I also offer an alternative to traditional over night care that supports establishing your milk supply, nursing, and bonding with your little one, while also getting you the sleep you need. Having access to a trusted experienced knowledgable source and support is incredibly helpful during this time, so I offer 24 hours on-call phone support.

  • The first year is full of new and exciting firsts! Teething, solid foods, sleep, mastering new developmental milestones, and so much more. I am here to help you face each new step and transition with confidence.

  • Ask any parent and sleep and how to get more of it is high up on their list of priorities. I will help you understand what is happening and why from a child development perspective as well as find a way to achieve your goals in a way that feels right for you. It is absolutely possible to have a child who is a great sleeper without having to do traditional sleep training or Cry It Out. Together we can set realistic expectations that meet both your child’s needs and your needs and help everyone get more sleep.

  • Whether your child is an infant needing your calm voice and soothing touch, to help them calm down when they are crying or a toddler who needs help recovering from a full-blown meltdown over not wanting to wear pants, teaching them to voice their emotions and regulate themselves is one of the most important life skills you will ever teach them. Learning to self regulate is a skill that is learned over time and with practice, starting at infancy. Everything from soothing your fussy newborn and teaching your baby to self soothe to teaching your tantruming toddler to take a yoga breath, I can provide tools and strategies to help you and your child learn self regulation.

  • Your little baby is becoming their very own person with LOTS of their own, very strong, opinions. Whether it’s sharing, using their words, battles over eating, preparing them for a new sibling, tantrums or helping them conquer all their new exciting skills, I can equip you with the tools and strategies needed to make the transition from baby to big kid smooth.

  • Potty training can be incredibly challenging and stressful for both you and your toddler, but it doesn't have to be. The key is knowing when your toddler is ready. Through years of experience I have developed a method that allows you to potty train with ease. I will teach you how to recognize the signs that your child is ready and what to do once they are.

  • Are they hungry? Tired? Want to go outside? Maybe they want their favorite stuffed animal? The never-ending quest to figure out what your baby wants can be a frustrating task for you and your baby. If only they could tell you what they want. They can! Teaching infants to sign allows them to communicate effectively long before they can verbally communicate their needs.
