What People Are Saying

  • “We have 3 children and didn't have the time or energy to read a bunch of methods or trial and error potty training when it came time for our 2.5 year old to ditch diapers. Our oldest was potty trained at daycare, so we were flying blind and knew we'd need a personalized program to help. Cue Randi at Crib Notes Consulting. From our initial call, Randi gave us the confidence that we needed to be successful. She outlined a very doable program, which includes a test-day where Randi will tell you if she thinks your child is ready or not to begin. Having Randi available to us, in person and via cell/text was invaluable. Our daughter instantly took to her and loved her potty training "coach" who she wanted to please vs. mom and dad who more regularly hear "no!" To have the reassurances of "yes she's ready," "yes, that’s normal," "yes and try this instead" 1:1 was incredible. Most importantly, we had tremendous success with Randi's method and advice! Our daughter was potty trained in a weekend and went to school with underwear on the following week. Working with Randi is amazing!”

  • "Randi has been super critical for our family as we navigate a variety of challenges related to our girls’ growth and development. We have three girls age 3, 18 months and 4 months. As a family that believes in gentle parenting, mindfulness, and positive reinforcement, we often struggled with how to deal with more difficult milestones and social challenges. We were struggling with sleep training, potty training, sharing, and meal times. Enter Randi! Since implementing the techniques that Randi helped us come up with we have been able to get both girls to bed within 15 minutes, our newborn sleeps through the night without ever having to cry it out once! Most importantly there is so much peace in our household and we have learned how to teach our children boundaries and emotional regulation in ways that align with our comfort levels. What we love about Randi is that she specializes her advice based on the unique needs of each of our children."

  • “Randi helped my husband and I navigate the waters of becoming first time parents. We found that there was so much information and preparation on childbirth and pregnancy and less on preparing for parenthood. At our hospital they offered a six week Lamaze class and a two hour baby care basic class, of which got cancelled due to the pandemic. We felt overwhelmed by the abundance of books and routines to follow. Thankfully, we met Randi and she guided us on ways to follow our intuition as parents. She is an expert in her field and gave us evidenced based suggestions on sleep routines, introducing solids, soothing techniques, teething and playtime. We loved that she gave us many options and always said “whatever works for your family.” We love Randi and highly recommend her as a trusted consultant to help with the journey through parenthood.”

  • “Randi is a gem! I reached out to Randi when my son was about 26 months old because I was ready to potty train and from what I could tell so was my son. She went over everything from readiness, how to start, ideas of motivating factors that have worked with other kids she has helped train, and how to determine once we started if he was truly ready. During the first three days I had texted Randi to make sure we were on the right track, and she responded with ways to keep it positive. At day 3 I was debating if maybe he wasn't ready, and texted Randi who gave me the options of, keep going for a couple days or to wait about a month and try again. I was determined to give him a full week. At day 6 he had an accident free day, and progressively he got better at initiating and having consecutive accident free days. We have not yet potty trained during nap or bedtime, but I will for sure be reaching out again to cross that bridge with Randi's support. Parenting can be a roller coaster so for us having someone supporting us who has had vast experience with potty training was a huge benefit for our family and my sanity. I highly recommend!”

  • “When I was pregnant with my first child I became obsessed with research. What do I need for a newborn? How much does a newborn eat? When can I sleep train? The list of questions went on and on. I reached out to Randi about what I absolutely needed to buy for a new baby and she provided a lovely list of must-haves which made me feel so prepared and helped subside my constant research and obsessive questions. I’ve reached out to her many times for advice over the past two and a half years and Randi is always clear and knowledgeable in her advice about raising a baby. She is such an incredible resource for raising children!”

  • “There is a lot of self doubt in parenting. You don’t know what’s “normal.” You’re constantly questioning yourself and your child. There is no one telling you if you’re doing things correctly and there is no how-to manual that came with your child. You’re just guessing through it all and hoping for the best. My real self doubt came when my child was in daycare. I was receiving feedback from school and didn’t know what to think of it or how to process it. The school left me and my child feeling subpar. I reached out to Randi when I couldn’t take it anymore and she was so kind and listened to everything that was going on. In our first session and every following session that I have had with Randi, she has left me feeling confident and competent. Randi has an arsenal of tools, experience and knowledge that can help so many. And most importantly, she makes you feel safe and comfortable. There is no one size fits all with parenting, there are a lot of options and methods, however, there is only one Randi .”

  • Randi was the perfect balance of advice and rationale thinking. I first engaged with her as a new mom - via phone/text- in the initial first months when I felt overwhelmed by all the IG accounts and friends with kids. I constantly second guessed myself and she was so patient and answered all of my millions of questions (should I worried about this? How do I know if she’s eating enough? How do I give her a bath, etc), sent at all hours of the day. At about 4 months I was planning to go back to work but my daughter seemed to have a really hard time waking from her last nap of the day and then transitioning into dinner and a nighttime routine. I had Randi come over in in-person (pre-COVID) and she spent the afternoon with us, playing and getting to know us to observe the challenges with the routine. She then made some simple but effective recommendations on routine, and within a few weeks we were smooth sailing. Randi is great and I feel like she’s the friend and super experienced resource everyone mom needs.

  • “We call her Tante Randi - because when we brought her on, she quickly became family. As new parents, she helped us navigate general parenting, but when we learned of our daughter’s autism diagnosis, Randi and her child development background helped demystify an otherwise overwhelming period in life. With a calm, caring and very patient demeanor, we found her partnership invaluable and comforting. She approaches her role with utmost professionalism and the quiet confidence that as new parents we needed – a gentle guiding hand that never felt overbearing or critical. Randi is the baby (and parent) whisperer any new parent can benefit immensely from. She’s amazing!”
